Hey, guys! After talking to Eddie who was nice enough to plan my birthday party this weekend (THanks, Eddie!!) there are a few changes to the plans due to logistics of the size and what we wanted to do. So, listen up!
He needs to know who can make it to SingleBarrel at 5pm SHARP. The thing is, SingleBarrel is like a speakeasy club and they have appointment times and rules. They normally don’t accommodate big groups, but Eddie talked to Cache the manager/owner? and he was willing to make some accommodations for us. So, please respect all of Eddie and the bar’s efforts and don’t be late. What will happen is we get ushered in by groups of 5 and they do a little cocktail presentation and the bartender individually chooses a drink just for you. So, basically you can’t be late.
After SingleBarrel we will head over to Motif 2nd Floor for their Happy Hour and plan to be there by 6pm.
Photos of the Happy Hour Menu:
Because we have a larger group and not everyone knows the organizer, to make things easier the plan is that when we get to Motif, Eddie will collect maybe $20-25 from each person to cover food, Sangria and tip.
If you want cocktails please just order separately. If we have money left over we will use that towards more alcohol for later (maybe get a bottle or something) if we stay at Motif for dancing or if we end up going to another bar or place.
If you don’t think you can eat or drink $20-$25, please just order separately as well. Any stragglers who arrive afterward, we just ask in order to make things fair to those who pitched in if you can order separately as well.
All in all, we just want this to be a relaxing, fun and chill night. Because of the size of the group it can become difficult to organize, so we want to make it as stress free as possible.
** So, please let Eddie Amar know if you are coming ASAP, especially for the SingleBarrel portion so we can let them know over there on their side. If you want to show up at Motif you can just show up.

The sad thing is, all it too was something small to make me feel that way.
The Panasonic Viera TV in our bedroom had not been working for months. Before my husband left to go back overseas, he took a look at it again but couldn’t figure out the problem either, yet we left the TV in the bedroom just sitting there.
Today, I was dusting and I was debating carrying the TV down to the garage to take to throw out when I decided that I would give it one more chance and decided to troubleshoot a little bit. I googled the TV model to find out if other people had issues with the TV and went from there.
After making a few adjustments, my TV is fixed.
Funny how doing something so small can make me feel so good.

Arcade Fire just reinvented the music video. Do yourself a favor and use the real address where you grew up when it asks. This is what kind of interactive music experience that the internet was built for. I’m excited to see more innovative stuff coming from Arcade Fire and their new album, The Suburbs (which is amazing by the way).
